With offices and associates based all over the world, sharing internal documents, policies and procedures was soon to become a serious problem for Beaumont Karlson. Already having an intranet in place built on Salamander's MooD Technology, Beaumont Karlson were keen to transfer their existing intranet solution onto the internet.
Referred to The Site Doctor by our industry hosting partner –Rackspace, we talked through Beaumont Karlson’s requirements at great length helping them decide on the most suitable –and cost effective– solution.
The extranet produced harnesses the power of the .Net 2.0 framework to fully secure all documents within the secure folder, filtering out access from unauthorised users. Other than the security functionality that we added to the system, the extranet operates in the same way as their previous intranet to ensure a consistent user experience.
A simple, effective and informative administration area allows the system administrator to monitor existing system utilisation and resources and compare it to historical data.
