Internet on your TV? Whatever next!
SNAP welcomes 8.5m potential customers
It is widely felt that surfing the internet from your sofa is soon going to be a reality, so SNAP jumped at the opportunity to create a Miniweb presence and asked The Site Doctor to spearhead this development.
Since aquiring the SkyKeys/Internet Sites Service from BSkyB in 2007 Miniweb has been keen to partner up with new customers looking to promote their services to over 8.5million BSkyB customers. SNAP and The Site Doctor were lucky enough to be involved with the initial pilot scheme.
The SNAP Miniweb site allows users to register for a SNAP card from the comfort of their sofa through their TV. At present the site is primarily an information portal but we are already discussing the possibility of porting over their payment gateway solution to the Miniweb platform which will allow other Miniweb webmasters to accept payment as they currently do on the internet.
You can access the SNAP card Miniweb site through your BSkyB set-top box by entering 7627 (SNAP) with your remote control.
At present the SNAP card Miniweb site is only available on BSkyB however Miniweb have plans to roll out the service to other providers in the near future including Virgin (Telewest) and Freeview. If you are a B2C business, we highly recommend getting onto the Miniweb platform as soon as possible.

"We at SNAP have been very impressed with The Site Doctor not only in the way they diligently approach the entire process of work delivered by them, but also their ability to think outside the box and work with us to define and provide new solutions to our unique requirements."
