The Wargame Company (Devon) site update
The doctor's notes - January 2006
After working on the Wargame Company (Devon)'s website nearly two years ago, they decided it was time to update the website’s overall functionality to ensure it was as up-to-date with current web standards as they were with their high quality paintball games.
After discussing the Wargame Company (Devon)'s requirements and objectives for the work, we determined that the site would benefit from having the layout code modified to reduce the total amount of code used (known as tag soup) which would both speed up the load times of the website and have dramatic improvements in regards their search engine position.
The result is most pleasing, as well as converting the site to Cascading Style Sheets, we used a number of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) techniques to improve their position in the search engines for useful phrases such as "paintball", "Woodland Laser Combat", "Tavistock Paintball", "Devon Paintball" and "Paintballing".
After this re-optimisation of the website’s code, the Wargame Company (Devon) have seen an increase in the traffic to the site and subsequently an increase in the number of enquiries.
